The variabilty of results is interesting. For example, as listed above there are 3 2500+ cpus o/c'd to different levels

@ 2200 MHz - 1M = 44 s
@ 2300 MHz - 1M = 46 s
@ 2406 MHz - 1M = 48 s

That's not the trend I would have predicted. What performance factors generally influence results? Higher FSB compensates for some overall MHz? Memory timings? Just curious.

Mobile Barton @ 200x12

1M = 44s
8M = 8m 20s

Mobile Barton @ 200x11.5

1M = 47s
8M = 8m 40s

Pifast = 53.13s

Mobile Barton @ 220x10

1M = 43s
8M = 8m 20s

Pifast = 51.67s

Same old Barton @ 215x11

1M = 43s
8M = 8m 4s

1M is 56 seconds. Does it matter since I'm on a Kt266A board or this test is base solely on clock speed?

1M = 52s on an AMD 3000+ @ stock speed, memory at SPD speeds on a Leadtek K7NCR18DLM (nForce 2).
8M = 9m 49s. Not too shabby for stock speeds with generic PC2700 RAM :)

A64 3200+ @ 2300MHz (10 x 230, memory at 5:6, 6-2-2-2, LDT = 2.5)
Super Pi 1M = 38 seconds

A64 3200+ @ 2200MHz (memory at 220 1:1, 6-2-2-2, LDT = 2.5)
Super Pi 8M = 7 min 16 sec

"NW @4.8GHz (300x16 5:4 2-2-2-5) = 5min 34sec
Prescott @4.5GHz (281.5x16 5:4 2-2-2-5) = 5min 33sec"

hahaha,you can see the P4 doesn't scale well at all. 300mhz = 1 second?

Well, I just managed my fastest Super Pi times so far! I was especially happy to break 7 minutes for 8M.

A64 3200 @ 2298MHz (9 x 255.4), approx 2300MHz is max for this cpu/mobo combo, however I go at it, without finding a way to get more volts. Next I will try to go down to an 8x multiplier and see how high I can the HTT.

Super Pi times:
1M - 37sec
8M - 6min 59sec

1M - 41 seconds.

2M, 8M... decided against running and played games instead :p

To those curious which factors affect the benchmark times, I'm guessing ram timings has more of an effect over raw mhz. Friend with a 2.8C @ 3.5 running Corsair @ 2,2,2,5 got 40 seconds on his rig. :beer:

mhz isn't everything, core has a lot to do with it. the P4 has been more than generious with scaling, can't expect a whole lot more out of it.
