Anybody know whether or not the super orb comes with thermal paste or if it's even needed. I just ordered one and i'm in germany so i have no idea where to get thermal paste
 
and you definatly need thermal paste of some kind whether it be silicon based or one of the silver or copper compounds.
 
yeah it should come with some, but if i were you i wouldnt even have gotten it unless you are running a 700 or lower frequency =) they arent very good
 
Most of the Super Orb's I have used have had the "Bubblegum" style thermal pad. It works OK but for optimum transfer scrape it off (hard to do BTW) and use Arctic Silver. The bubblegum pad is about as good as Ceramic based coumpounds like Radio Shack but nowhere near the quality of Arctic Silver.
