Super Orb flaw?

Hey all, just got my Super Orb in the mail for my TBird and it's sweet looking. My only issue with it is base of it doesn't look like I imagined it would. I thought the whole bottom base would be perfectly flat, but there is actually a wide circle in the center of the base that is just a little uneven with the rest of the square around it.

Should I be cautious that this isn't good enough for my new 900 Tbird? There is no thermal pad, but I did get some arctic silver. I really need your advice as to if this is alright to use, to maybe overclock later, etc..

Thanks-

i think the latest super coolers have a special phase change heat pad thingy that you have to heat up first with a hot chip then it changes to liqiud (slightly) and melts into the surface of a chip perfectly, the getting a perfect bond.. i think, look around on hardocp for their review of the super orb, it documented well the procedger for doing it

thats fine, only the circle will touch your core anyway. btw, thermaltake took out the TIM and put in grease instead, as it is much better. dont worry, the supa orb cools my 750 purple tbrid to 1133 mhz at only 1.8 volts. full load never above 43 celcius, idles around 25-26. great cooler.
