In my experience, there were a few great titles on Genesis, but not nearly as many as on the SNES. There were tons of "slightly above par" titles on both systems, but again... still more on the SNES.

Add Gunstar Heroes to the list (exclusive to the Genesis). Quite simply one of the best platformer ever made on any system.

I had the SNES first, because I had the NES first, because my parents bought me the NES. I eventually bought my friend's old Genesis + Sega CD + all of his games for $75. SegaCD sucked ass.
