Ah... I remember when I first got my SNES, and my parents actually made me pay for it myself. I played through Mario World as quickly as I could. Then I played it again, and then again, and again...
Now I'm passing the game on to my oldest child 🙂

Dude in Mario Sunshine for GameCube there is a rollercoaster level where you have to shoot missles to pop balloons... it's nearly impossible because there is a time limit and all the angles keep changing... WHAT a challege

God I wish video game companies (NINTENDO) would get a fvcking clue and give us a more intricate version of a 2d side scroller... or even a 3d/2d (like smash brothers) side-scrolling Mario-style game. Mario (until he came out in disgusting 3d) is the apex of control. He reacts faster than any other character in a game - ie: he instantly changes direction, throws a fireball, flicks his tail, punches a brick, flicks his cape, etc..

Gimme Super Mario World 2!!!!! I promise everyone on Earth will buy it.

God, I beyond agree with you. Game company mentality: "Because 3D graphics are easy and available now, every game should use it, right??"

I miss SNES days.

I've been playing Mario World the past day or two. Great game! BB1 is a toughie. The special world is the toughest in my opinion. "Tubular" (where you have to use those P balloons) is the most annoying one!

I hate that level..sooooo much...

Super Mario World was hard to me back when it was first released on the SNES, but a few months ago I breezed through the entire remake for the Gameboy Advance. Got 100% in about 3 days worth of play. Needless to say, I got hooked on it 🙂.

Whenever it first came out on SNES, my dad beat all of it long before I did. 🙂

It took me about 9 hours on gameboy to beat all of the worls and to get all of the dragon coins. Now I'm trying to get all of the peach coins. Such an uber game.

Your opinion on anything game related is nullified because of that statement. Mario64 is still regarded as one of the best games ever made, and I tend to agree with those people who think that.

Google came up with this:
There's the ever popular Butter Bridge 1, which must have been designed by Satan himself. (or whatever Satan's Japanese counterpart is) This level has the audacity to scroll by itself, (which is hard already) while introducing a new game element: see-saw like platforms that require you to jump like a ninny just to stay on them. Add to this that they're scarcely larger than your character and that there are several places that can only be crossed by kick-jumping off more than one flying turtle, and you're in for hours of rassafrass.

LOL!

NOW I remember it...
