[edit]Divx codec pack fixed video problem[/edit].

Man, That (player) was awesome. I used to think I was great at SMB,but, wow. Maybe he's using a cheat of some sort, but, I know that what he did in there is technically possible. I think he's just that good. I never could get those wall jumps right. Definitely was a cool video. Kinda bummed how he showed the jumping over the flagpole at the very end, but, didn't let it 'keep going' so I could see what happened. I spent hours trying to get that down... never quite made it. Looks like he did a wall jump at the very end to get over.

I've never seen the wall jumps, although some of the things he did looks like he was using some cheats (swimming through the fire at the end and not getting affected)

If I remember right when you jump over the flagpole and keep running, you just end up in a loop, no monsters/pits/background changes, just nothing until the time runs out.

I think the waterworld-swim through fire thing is based on 'ducking'. When you are underwater you can make it duck w/o actually ducking so the top half of mario is not subject to attack. The same trick can be used to swim past the pipe at the very end and end up at world -1 (that just infinite loops every time you go through it if you go there).

The bowser kill at the end is interesting, as the very last moment he fires and bowser dies. I wasn't aware you could kill him that way.

In the other thread they said that it may be a beta version of SMB he's playing. If so, that may mean the wall jumps and such are a little easier than in the ver I played. I dunno though.

Oh, wait. It's actually a PC emulated version of SMB1. It's obviously a hacked ROM that has special built in 'features'. Zero credibility for beating the game because of this.
