Super Mario Brothers God Technique

What like him going inbetween bricks and stuff like that? I don't think that was possible with the original console. At least I don't remember doing it, even by accident.

In a certain Japanese version of the game you could exploit a few bugs to speed it up.

Even so... that video never ceases to impress me.

they had that on the screensavers. it just uses memory to record movements and every time you die it deletes a few seconds and goes on.

Yeah so he didn't actually complete it flawlessly in 11 minutes. There are parts where he should have died IIRC. But it's still a crazy video nonetheless. 🙂

I also saw that episode.

Um he used emulators and a rom to do it in 11 minutes

Basic explanation. First from FAQ

ºë it has done?
-> ºë it has done. Dropping to 1/30 seconds with emulator, it is moving.
During movie recording saving and loading are recorded over again.
When foreward the dangerous place it saved and failed, it is the feeling such as the load.
Looking at this movie, "the game already it sows, if it becomes, to here it reaches the point where it is possible it is! "
In order with to smash the dream of the pure person who is thought, you think that there is no excuse very.
You write in advance, it should, was.

As for with the eddy zone of 8W not being carried off in the hand?
-> Choosing the frame where the hand does not come out, you have evaded.

1 - Although it does not turn to the reverse side with white block of 3, entering to the room of the whistle, the ??
-> It can turn to the reverse side even under lever tilt. It moves Þêª even with operation under lever tilt because,
After inserting under the truth for a while, B it has rushed under tilt.
When you see carefully, it turns to the reverse side securely with right hand edge of white block.

Time indication becomes fast and/or has become slow?
-> It is the processing falling which occurs the case of the scroll of the picture. The inside of P rushing especially is extreme, is.

Tank 1 "? "Hitting against the spanner immediately before the blocking, the ??
-> As for the emulator movie you think that with the notion that where, you can understand, just operation is recorded.
It is suspicious, but it does not hit. The fact that it did not hit is miracle, but.

Outside the picture of tank 2 being soon, hitting against the cannon, the ??
-> It is the same as the explanation above. The fact that it did not hit is favor of the system of the game.
It is not understood well, but outside the picture it seems that decision of Þêª goes out.

¯ÃÑ dies with the fire?
-> As for ÖóÖó fire 5 departure, it can push down ¯ÃÑ with 35 shots.

8 - As for the clear panel of 1 being possible and taking the saw?
-> As conjectured, the star is evaded in order to avoid 5UP.

8 as for end of the strongholds the wall with the one which it comes out being quick?
-> Because the wall the one which it does not come out was quick, this was chosen.

So, basically, he's using an emulator, he has it slowed down to 1/30th speed, and he's just cutting and pasting his best tries into this movie.

Also, if you download the emulator and rom he used, you can play the movie and see how many times he reloaded from a save state. It's roughly 40,000 times.

Two days ago I somehow managed to move sideways through solid rock in Super Mario World on the console (not an emulator), I don't think I could duplicate it.

Going thru the rock in World 1-2 originally allowed you to get into the elusive minus world; it does exist as did just about everything he does. Some may have been emulator error but I doubt it. I've seen most of that stuff before just never done so perfectly. Save states explains it perfectly.

The SMB 3 time attack video is way cooler than this. A lot of the time he just keeps exploiting the same bug over and over again, the one where he jumps off of walls. Gets kind of old.

If I am correct, this video (I have an 11 minute perfect game SMB3 video as well) was made by a Japanese guy with some time on his hands.

IIRC, he explicitly states in his website (in Japanese..this was translated to me by a friend) that he never meant the world to think that he had actually done this game perfectly. He was just seeing if he could indeed complete a perfect game using save state and an emulator. Sorry to disappoint you all, but the video is months old now, and is indeed (in a way), fake 😛.
