Hawking Technology

The Hawking PN9249 Broadband Cable/DSL Router with a built-in 4 port 10/100 Switch provides a cost-effective means of sharing a high-speed DSL/Cable connection with your LAN (Local Area Network) for simultaneous Internet access. The PN9249 works along with your existing Cable/DSL modem to provide the perfect solution for connecting a group of PCs to a Broadband Network. With the new 10/100M WAN port, you are guaranteed to connect to the Internet at the highest speed without data transfer bottleneck. Using a single ISP user account, this router allows multiple computers to share the same Broadband Internet connection at no additional cost. More specifically, up to 254 users can simultaneously access the Broadband DSL/Cable Internet using just a single IP account. The PN9249 only requires one ISP account and one Internet address (supplied by your DSL/Cable provider) to allow every computer on your network to simultaneously access the Internet through your DSL/Cable modem, your corporate network via a public Internet network.

Computer4sure has a D-link for $25 with free shipping. There is a $10 rebate, so your final cost is $15. I have used a couple of these and they are a good value for the price. Hawking Tech might be OK, but if you ever need warranty service, you have to give them your credit card and they have something like a minimum charge of $10. I would buy the D-Link. Better brand name and firmware support. I had good luck with D-link rebates also.

Bump this one time. This deal for the Dlink for $15 after rebate is still alive at computers4sure. Excellent deal, in my opinion.

Nice...someone edit that title. This deal lasts until 5/15 and these DI-604's rock. This is my third one. :D

GREAT for messing around with DMZs and such...lock down the hosts on your internal LAN! :)

Got my dlink 604 @ buy.com. Not sure why I bought it as I have a Linksys that I really like. For $15 I will find something to do with it & with the rate of accidents at my house it's best to have an extra of everything.
I thought there was no UPC until I turned the white box to all 6 sides & found it on the last side of course.
I think that Buy is out of them.

man i dont know why u guys are jumping at this deal as if its an awesome deal..i bought the dlink Dl-650..or whatever their ethernet router was for 10 bucks after rebate..

so this is not a deal at all..but i guess desperate time's need desperate measurs.

btw u can easily find a router at CompUSA for free after rebate. they run those deals often enought that u'll be able to catch them.
