They can check CC's site and see if their area has any. That's about all i can come up with.

And they're off! Fingers typing, eyes searching... up and down, over and under the CC site... wild goose nowhere to be found. And the tragedy? They'll never get those wasted minutes back.

1) 256 cd cases shouldn't be that hard to find. If you can't locate it in 30 seconds then it's probably not there (or else you can't type correctly)
2) try a B&M store since he said the register said they were $19.99, many mismarked deals like this are only B&M.

While yes, a sku would be nice, you guys can be polite to someone taking minutes out of his life to inform the rest of us about this great deal.

I for one am stopping by CC tomorrow to see what I can find.

Ever thought of being a defense lawyer? :)

I think we're talking protocol here dude. If you post a deal, just be sure to give the proper details and sources when necessary. A brand name, link, sku, or something like that would make the deal clear for everyone, that's all. We're just talking protocol.

ditto...I've noticed that there are people who love to make snide or nasty comments here at the expense of others. We were all once newbies so a little courtesy & understanding would be much appreciated. People are posting deals so others can enjoy them, so let's not abuse them

It wasn't the best of posts, but hey, it's free info. You're not paying for it so whatever.

Anyway, I checked a couple of local CCs in SoCal (Norwalk and LB) and both stores only had a 208 Case Logic as the only variant above 200. Nothing in the range of 256 and nobody in the store seemed to know of a rebate, so I guess it's regional.

If you got the last 5, what hot deal is there for the rest of us?

I'll try to swing by CC tomorrow and see if anything shows up, and you might want to be careful about those rebates. Maybe it's limit 1 per person?

I couldn't agree more. If you're too lazy to tell the above mentioned details, don't bother posting--your info is as usefull as junk in "Brag and Moan". :disgust:

Checked Newark store (CA bay area)--no luck.

Lets see, very vague deal which has enough information for everyone to check out and possibly score a hot deal, or no information at all... His post is definitely better than no information at all. he told you the item and where to get it. That's all the information you really need. It wouldn't matter how much information he gave you about the deal, it would have changed the fact that the store you checked didn't have it. You may have been able to call to see if they carried it, yes, but that is being lazy (not to mention most retail store employees are really annoyed when customers do that).. STOP BEING LAZY!

It helps to give as much info as possible for the deal so we can identify it easier/quicker. Everyone else does so. I can go right now and post up a bogus deal and you'll probably defend me, LOL.

Wonder if he read the details of the rebate? It is pretty odd to find one that
allows 6 rebates. If he uses multiple addresses and doesn't have 6 different
bank accounts, the fraud trail is easier to track down than the SKU for this
deal.

well, I guess he thought it was such a great deal at $20 , that he had to get 5 more? (I do usually see the 256 binders for $40 or more).
