There's a review at TechPowerUp from 2013 that enumerates a few of this model's shortcomings, but I assume they tested "Version 1" and this one is "V2". Maybe there have been some improvements. One difference is that the warranty period was increased from five years to ten years. My main concern would be that it was relatively inefficient under light loads compared to other power supplies. (Full disclosure, haha: I personally would never need this much power.) The reviewers were afraid that a dual-ballbearing fan would be noisy, but noise was not an issue when they tested it. Sounds like they gave it a thumbs up mainly because it has all Japanese capacitors.

It might be interesting to check out the other power supplies they compared it to.

I'd rather have a fan that was slightly noisier at the outset, if it would last 10 years, rather than a "silent" sleeve-bearing, that fails after 3-5 years. In short, I *heart* double ball-bearing fans.

The alternative would be hydrodynamic bearings in a high end power supply. They last a long time too and they tend to be quieter.

His reviews are very irritating, hehe. And not quite as thorough as I'd like.
