hi
i was wondering if this slot fan is a good deal. I want to cool my 6800gt but im not sure about this slot fan. Here the link: herehere
 
1. Never trust anything that says "super dooper"

2. They are loud

3. You can get them for 99 cents on ebay

4. They don't work one bit.
 
i think they work ok, not great. i had one from newegg, the dynatron $3.99. you'll see a bunch of the same ones just rebranded.

anyway, they move some air but you definitely need a fan controller as they are loud as hell.
 
These exhaust fans (yes, it is an exhaust fan) make no sense. You want cold air to enter your case from the bottom and warm air to leave your case from the top.
This is important in order to move the air as it does by nature (warm air rises).

An exhaust fan that is installed at the bottom (like this) is not going to be efficient. Sure, it moves air. But, you can achieve better results (cooler or quieter, or both) if your exhaust fans are up and intake fans are at the bottom.
