This is my first post..hopefully someone will find it useful..
specs for the toshiba satellite 3005S304:
PIII 1ghz with 512 KB CACHE (this makes the deal sweeter)
256MB SDRAM, DVD/CDRW-ROM combo, 20 Gig....for more specs go here
specs for the toshiba.

Here's the deal:
1. Go to xpbargain and get a 20% off coupon for office depot.
2. Go through the site as if you were going to buy it. *ie, add to cart, fill in mailing address, etc...until the last page before the submit button* Print a copy of this as proof.
3. Go to CC and get them to price match the item. For proof, use the printout. This is done for the $100 MIR.

Final price for the laptop:
1600
-320 *price match at cc*
+100 *tax*
-100 *toshiba MIR*
+100 *cc MIR* --> im not sure if this works...the rebate says on ANY intel pentium 3 laptop....so hopefully it will..
+ 3 dvds...

ending price: 1180 *roughly...*

If xp = tech, then where the 20% off coupon. I could only find a 20% off a $50 on another site. Dell seems to be the only seller of computer/electronics, besides MS kickback, that reduces by 20% without a dollar limitation.

Hell, this is a hot deal even without CC's extra 100 off. Wish I had the cash, but I wasn't planning on a notebook until Spring...

I stand corrected on the 20% off. Too bad OD selection is one step above Kmart or Wal-Mart.

I just bought the 3005-S303 and I luv it. It plays games, writes cd's, plays DVD's, what else could you ask for? I got mine for $1099+tax = 1170. Whats the difference? S304 is 1ghz and has 256 megs of ram, and mine has a pencil erasor mouse. Any laptop with a geforce2go is awesome IMOP. Good buy! this laptop is fairly light too. I havnt had a problem with toshiba laptops, i have a tecra 8000 and it just keeps going.

This is a repost.

The original post did not include the CC pricematch because CC nor Compusa nor BB do not allow items that have store coupons to be pricematched. It's even harder if you don't have the sales ad and only have a printout on your supposed-order.

And to make it worse, the Toshiba 3005 S304 is still out of stock at OD. :(

Tried without success doing the 20% off on a build to order Compaq AMD machine. With price reduction and $200 rebate get a 1.4 GB CPU, 256 MB DDR, and 80 GB HD for around $750 with a 17" monitior and cheap printer.

Help?

it's not really a repost...it's more of like a better way of doing it..

I had this deal done today, and i'm going back to cc tomorrow to get my PM for the 150 BB MIR.

If you're looking for examples of this working, well, here i am. I did this deal today, spoke to the salesman, and he gladly accepted the printout..

Unfortunately there is a fine print on the 20% deal. But I know for sure that Made to Order PC/Laptop cannot use coupons. I attempted that earlier.

You mean rebates or coupons?

SpeedDemon,

More power to ya. Hope it works. It's a good deal nevertheless.

Question, couldn't you just show them at the store without the printout? (Meaning log into one of their computers that have internet/broadband displays and make sure they're with you when you go to the website).

going online and showing them the store defeats the whole purpose of this. They dont know that the 20% off coupon is only for internet. See, what they dont know, wont hurt them. =0D.
