back when I was building PC's for a living... you know, last month.... I got all of my cases and PSU's from them. never had a problem; cases are great (for the price). kinda flimsy compaired to the high-end cases, but there are many much worse out there. never had a PSU problem either. the 500w's are again okay; there is much worse out there in terms of quality and noise. Great stuff in my opinion. I should go to reseller ratings and bump their average up a bit :)
also, the cases (at least all of mine) came with thumb screws.
oh, one little issue; they don't have screw-holes for standoffs on all of the mounts; some of them use a plastic square-peg that clips into a square hole and a "wood screw' bores into the plastic.
other than that, they're awesome

i ordered one of the $17 cases about a week ago and received it with a pretty large crack on the upper right hand corner of the drive bays. I am not going to bother about a return/refund but i do recommend that you pay the extra $$ for the extra box to prevent shipping damage. Other than the crack, the case itself is a pretty good deal, i think, because of the thermometer and front USB ports. Got everything running and installed with the $89 ECS/2400+ combo from Fry's. I got the silver one btw.

It's always better to pay a little extra for added protection. I learned that the hard way. Mine also got chipped in the corner.:|

Just got the black one... :D My son's crappy beige one is, well, crappy. LoL (Used to be mine back in the celly 266/400 days.) The 300w psu in his old one is fine, so I'll end up tossing the old case (or hacking it up for a HTPC project... heh)

Thanks for sharing!

Seems like Amamax is getting pretty beat up here, so here's my experience:
Ordered a 350 watt power supply and got a 450. Ordered a Geforce4 mx440 and got it. Brother ordered a 350w psu and got it. Friend ordered a (really nice) tower and got it. Amamax seems to me to be reliable, and their shipping is pretty quick (~4 days). The free shipping thing that they do now is actually free. Their reseller rating doesn't seem right, though...

I just bought one so I could get my ol' P75 rig out of the nasty old-school Gateway full tower. Hopefully it'll fit in the case, if not, heck, it was only 20 bux.

I for one somewhat agree with the person recommending a cheap case + higher quality PSU but I think the PC and Power cooling PSUs are very overpriced. You can get some decent priced PSUs which are awesome in my opinion. I would recommend Newegg's Maxtop cases without PSU, I got the one with a side panel fan and top fan which are both 92mm fans. I am using a 300W PSU from Enhance USA which can be found on newegg. I modded it by removing the fan inside and putting a nice 80mm Panaflo, model M. Not too noisy yet keeps things cool.

Well, I got a case that has the entire front ripped off the supports, even though I paid for double-boxing and there was no obvious damage to either box. I just sent them an email; we'll see how that goes.

Disagree. Giving your credit card info to the people like Amamax for no gain (likely) on a crapy hardware is a significant risk. Plus not worth aggravation.
If you want a new cheap case from a reliable seller go dealsonic.com.

I always generate a temporary new credit card number (service offered by Amex or MBNA or a few others) when I make a purchace online. Is it safe as I think it is? All the merchants got will be
the themporary numbers that will expires in a month, right?

Description says "includes front usb" but when you click on it, you have to add front usb ports, etc, for extra cash...

Seems shady to me. If i don't specifically pay to add them, will it come with them anyway? Or does adding just add a couple of more?

-D.

just got my black cheapo $17 case. It has a big dent in the top and a bowed out door (resulting). (I skipped the $3 extra box.) It also turned into a silver case somehow. I ordered the bare case and nonetheless got the thrmometer & the gruge and the USB ports. To repeat the above sentiment, "Nothing like a digital "gruge" on your computer for the cpu "thrmometer." Good stuff"

I sort of expected it to be jacked up & wasn't disappointed. This is not a gripe - for $17, I consider this a square deal. peace.

Still not response. I guess I'll have to dispute the charge and then get creative on how to fix the case...<sigh>

While I agree there are potential *aggravation* problems if something goes wrong with the use of your CC number, I don't think there is much ($50, or, in a lot of cases, $0) personal *risk*. The credit card company bears the risk of fraudulent use of the card. Don't worry, the CC companies cover that risk in the interest and transaction charges they impose.

I ordered two cases ,the $17 case and a case with PSU.
Both cases arrived in excellent condition ,I went for the extra box for $3.
These cases are better quality than I saw at a recent computer fair
and less expensive.
I will order from them again.

Just got mine yesterday. I really wish I had sprung for the extra box. Nothing's broken, but some dings and bendies...

I Just Love UPS. :|

But I got a black case, and it's really nice looking. The misspellings on the temp monitor are a crackup. My 12yo caught those right off the bat. heh

As soon as my laser etched window arrives, my son will have a rockin case for his XP1700 rig. Red LED's throughout, the etching will be a pic of Sweet Tooth (from Twisted Metal). He's stoked.
