I can't wait to see it. The scene where the cops run from the cops is hilarious. :D

There is NOTHING funny in it. The whole thing feels like a bunch of guys were sitting around and said "Let's make a cheap unfunny rip off of American Pie as though we only had 30 cents for every dollar of production funds that the original American Pie had." The characters look unlikable, and the actors are unlikable as well. I mean hell one of them is that annoying troll from Arrested Development.

Actually, are any of you old enough to really remember American Pie? I just realized that maybe some people here that would like Superbad aren't old enough to really have seen the original American Pie movies.

Yeah, American Pie was cool when I was in like 7th grade. They're all unbelievably lame and unfunny now.
edit:
okay, I watched the R trailer, and I'm psyched for it too.

I think this movie appears to be a hysterical no brainer film. It isn't meant to stimulate the imagination, or inspire you to become a great person... Just laugh. Anyone who has seen it and says that they didn't find it funny is probably dry and boring. That being said, I can't wait to see it again.

Just got back from seeing it.

It was HILARIOUS.

I WILL be paying to see it again in the theatres.

All the people who said it's unfunny or boring are either complete and total liars that haven't seen it or they are damn near 50 years old and forget what it was like to be in high school.

To compare it to American Pie is stupid. American Pie was an excuse for T n' A and hollywood humor. Superbad is something that people can actually relate to in a twisted sort of way with dick and fart jokes the whole way.

So YOU'RE the guy that thought the trailer wasn't funny. Everyone's been looking for you!

I'll be watching it for George-Michael

My sister likes him (being an Arrested Development fan). She was in New York, met him, and got her picture taken with him. When she sent the pic, I was totally expecting a different George Michael based on the email heading.

This movie actually looks interesting. I definitely wouldn't say it's an American Pie ripoff when it is more along the lines of Freaks and Geeks.

I try to support the cast of Arrested by going out to see their new productions. Plus, Michael played such a straight-laced character on the show, I'd like to see how he handles a different role.

It's actually a quite similar character style (awkward and nervous) but this time somewhat perverted.

comedies that are somewhat original at the time....or if they're take-offs on classics they're actually funny.

Why should anyone care about two unlikable actors playing two unlikable characters making unfunny hackneyed jokes?

'hurrrr my fake id says I'm like 800 years old and my last name is hungcock hurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" or whatever the F the trailer said. ugh.

If ATOT says it's funny I may have to see it. But if it's not funny I expect a paypal retribution payment from everyone.

How dare you. :)

Zoolander is one of my all-time favorites. Will Farrell is classic in that movie, and the "Center for ants" line is a classic. Not to mention the fact that the movie was spot on concerning the emerging fashions in America. Think about it, that movie came out just as the $75 jeans with rips and acid wash were becoming popular. It was brilliant!

My condolences to the very few surviving brain cells in your head. ;)

wasn't he trying to hook up with his cousin in Arrested development? sounds liek the same type of role.

yeah, looks like an anesthetized Napolean Dynamite, which was already "meh." This might be the crappiest movie of the year.

I don't see the correlation at all. FWIW I liked Napoleon Dynamite, but it has essentially nothing in common with Super Bad, other than the fact that both involve high-school students. The American Pie comparison also seems bizarre, if not quite as bizarre as ND.

Did you like 40-Year-Old Virgin or Knocked Up? Those are probably the best clues as to how this movie will turn out.

I liked 40-Year Old Virgin, but haven't seen Knocked Up. Don't really plan too though...this recent trend in Romantic/Buddy comedies is already parodying itself....

You are indeed missing something. I think none of the trailers are funny :p

EDIT: Accipter--I just realized you took my post as a favorable comment this flick...uh...how did you manage that interpretation?

This was really funny. Saw it tonight. The crowd was extremely rowdy. They gave out tshirts to the crowd, exacerbating their rowdiness.
