Supcom performance questions

I've got some questions about supcom, since I used to be a big TA fan and want to play supcom if I can get a computer that will play it well enough on the cheap.

I see from some benchies online that supcom benefits a signifigant amount from 3 cores, but not 4. At the same time, it also seems to not fully utilize the 2nd and 3rd cores that much. I wonder if there is a way to force supcom to run all of the threads that would run on the last 3 cores all on one core? I would think that would make the most efficient usage of CPU power(if it's possible).

I also read somewhere that SLI is not supported. Is this still true? I would think they would have fixed something like that by now. How about crossfire support?

I was hoping I could do a system for about 600, but it looks like that's not going to be possible >_<

Meh, get a c2d, overclock it to 3.2ghz or so, pair it with a decent videocard, 8800gts 320mb should do the trick just fine, prolly could get away with a 1950xt 256mb depending on resolution. For 600$ theres not much choice though, can't go qaud and 8800gts 320mb for that money, can get dualcore e4400 or so, good HSF, and 8800gts 320mb and 2gb of ram for that money.

That should give you pretty good performance. My x2 3800+ @ 2.6ghz gets maxed out in SupCom, but it still holds up fairly well and even with a lot of units I don't notice many if any slowdowns. This is paired with my 8800gts 320mb, and 2gb of ram.
