I believe the second one is what we are referring to.

REMEMBER THE SECOND DEFINITION? Belief in ones self and ones powers or abilities.
Now, let's see... I actually go out and try to socialize with women. I try to get a feel if they like me or not (99.99% hate me because I am ugly, and they allllllll say that). Now, let's see... considering I actually approach women... am I not overconfident now?
Think about it! Froot loops kid actually thinks any woman he EVER approaches or socializes with could possibly ever like him. If I didn't have some kind of hope/confidence, why would I ever even speak to a woman when I didn't have to?

I am overconfident. Shame that is. I'm such a cocky bastard.
