I love how Suns fans believe their team is the second-coming. High-powered offense and crap defense will never win an NBA championship.

I'm not saying the Suns aren't a great team, they are incredibly fun to watch and their offense is pure brilliance. However, when they come across a team that can match them in speed and quickness, and can bully them in the paint they will be in trouble. I have no doubt that when Dallas faces them they will go down as they did last year.

Lakers are clearly getting outclassed here. Let's face it, their team just isn't good enough to match the Suns in any way. It was amazing that they were beating the Suns through 3 quarters in Game 1.

If your a Phoenix fan, don't get too excited. They won't win this year, or ever with this kind of lineup. Their defense is too terrible, and it that will hurt them when they play a true playoff caliber team (e.g. Dallas/San Antonio).

Whatever you say.

Dallas won't make it past GS, SPURS FTMFW!!!!!!!!!!

Also Kobe needs to work on having more 100+point games

even trailing 0-1, I'll put my money on Dallas if anyone is interested in a little wager ;)

Offense wins games, defense wins championships. That doesn't only apply in football.

what do you mean? the reason he'd be taking 30 shots per game is because no one else can make a shot or make a play

I think he would take that many regardless (I think he lead the west in attempts and points in the all star game this year)

What can Kobe do right with this team? Tonight he passed the ball around and his teammates failed him. When he takes control, he gets criticized but when he passes his teammates just don't produce.

The Lakers simply aren't good enough to beat the Suns. Hopefully they will go through some major restructuring this offseason (i.e. get Smush Parker the ****** out of LA). I've heard rumors about Garnett wanting to come down to LA...

I am a lifetime Lakers fan (32 years old now), and I've seen it all. I kinda wish this year's team didn't make the playoff, because then they'd be in the draft lottery at least. And Stern might pull the "frozen envelope" and give the 1st pick to the Lakers!!! :D

The Lakers have no chance against this Suns team. With Barbosa going absolutely nuts like this, and Nash/Marion/Stoudemire playing like they should, I don't think ANY team can take them.

Hmm, yeah, Dallas sure defended them well in the regular season. :disgust:

You're forgetting Amare Stoudemire missed the 2006 playoffs... That'll be the difference maker.

People still watch the NBA? I tried watching this game last night, but it was terribly boring. What a waste of my 10 minutes. I guess maybe in the 3rd round games will start getting interesting.

All in all, this has been the WORST season of basketball in a long time...and I have watched NBA since I was a child. There has never been a greater disparity between the elite teams and the terrible teams. And unfortunately, a whole bunch of the terrible teams got into the playoffs somehow...and thus we are forced to watch trash games like this.

I agree with that. The Suns are playing amazing ball. They put on a clinic last night.

Watch the Suns play, it's great. DAL-GSW is another fun series to watch. Other than that, the other NBA games are quite boring.

Also, the NBA set a record this year in attendance, so I doubt fans are starting to get turned off by basketball.
