I wonder if I'll be able to transfer my number to Cox. I have a phone line through Cox cable because of a package deal so I might as well use it :/

AFAIK, there might not be anybody left at S/R to release the phone #s that they have.

Any good solutions to that?
I've been waiting 10 days for my main # to be released to Sprint Wireless!

Help!

RideFree if you see this thread, please change title - the SR yellow bird is dead.

So, you're saying that the Canary hit a pocket of gas in the S/R mine?
He must've run into georgepan while he was down there, no sign of the original SR pumper anymore...

I would love to see his @ss here apologizing from me for all said in early 06. Anyhow... I'm pretty sure he also lost his job from SR with everything went down ...

Apologize for what? Having quality service for cheap for the last year and a half (longer, if you go back to before your trolling started)?
I'm suprised you haven't asked why 200,000 customers are in a panic, since sunrocket never worked in the first place, according to you. So why are they all worried now?

You shouldn't hold your breath waiting for that apology. Based on numerous PM's between me and georgepa, I can say with 100% confidence he never worked for SR. Any "financial interest" you emphasise would have ended when he maxed out his "rocket reward" referrals -- so that argument doesn't work either.

At least you got the last laugh, so I guess you have something to be proud of.

Now will you quit trolling?

Quality service .. :) I truly can not believe you are still blowing the same horn. Anyhow that discussion is over long ago for me.

Obviously you are not aware of the context so no can blame you for making comments that are not relevant. During early 06, him and I got into heated dicsussion about SR's future and how I claimed that they will never be a reliable company hence dropped their service and recommend the same to others. During this time all was said including me being a secret conspirer for SR.

I finally got a reply from Sprint and they said that the port would be complete by midnight on Sunday. (Of course, they did not mention what year :D:D:D)

All of these tele-peeps have a top-tier department that could (they used to call it "pick" in the old days) steal the phone numbers from off the WhiteHouse walls and desks. So, eventually, the deal will get done even if there is no one left at S/R to turn out the lights.

I'm happy S/R went under, It's good news for my Cable company. We have had an influx of new Voip Customers since S/R went the way of the Dodo.

Customers said "all of a sudden we had no phone and no warning"

Message at the bottom of the communiqué from S/R...
It has been our pleasure to service you at SunRocket!

It has been our pleasure to service you at SunRocket!
I think they are referring to the bull and cow relationship.

actually, i believe this was reworded by what was left of the sunrocket c/s department and management.

the original text was quoted as reading: "it has been our pleasure to screw you at SunRocket"

question about number portability:

i signed up for Packet8 and now i'm up and running w/ my packet8 number.
i've forwarded my original number to my poacket8 number, via Sunrocket's website.
will this affect number porting at all?

i could have sworn i've read that it could, but i'm not sure.

Yes it does. make sure you don't forward sunrocket to your new VOIP company. If you do, this will delay the process. I signed up for Vonage around 7/18/07, and just now transferred my old number over as of 7/31/07. The tech support guy said if you have forwarding enabled on Sunrocket, then it will delay the process. I did have it enabled, so that why it took so long.
