I've been using Sunrocket's VoIP service.
Even though there were occasional outages, overall the service isn't so bad.
Until this morning I realized I can't make or receive calls anymore.
Found couple of news online that confirms my biggest fear - Sunrocket has shut down their operation.
What are my options and what can I do?
I want to at least get hold of my existing phone number transfered to another provider.
Sunrocket shut down their service w/o any warning or notice.
This is not right; phone is considered critical service.
Some may even depend on it to call 911; isn't there some sort of regulation regarding 911 service for VoIP providers?
I realize 911 calling (or any calls) wouldn't be available if my network goes down, but for them to just shut the service down w/o any warning is just ridiculous.
While it can be argued this is network related, there is an existing an ongoing thread in OT about this issue. To consolidate it, I've locked this one and would ask you to post there.
