One of the great things about Sunrocket phone service as you all know is that there was one all inclusive fee for the service. No strange taxes or other fees tacked on after you signed up.
I just received an e-mail message from them saying that the introductory "trial period" for the second number (Signature service) is over and starting in July they will begin charging $3/month for the second line.
I don't remember any introductory thing about the second line? It was part of the deal when you signed up with Sunrocket.
And get this, if you cancel the second line and then resign up later it's $4.99/month instead of $3/month.
So now Sunrocket is like the rest of them playing games with the extras.
The funny thing is the "second number" isn't even a second line, it's just a second number that can dial in. I have to admit it's useful for me because I assign that second number a distinctive ring tone and then set my fax to only answer that ring tone. In effect I have a dedicated fax line for incoming faxes.
Still I'm disappointed in them for this.
I know the bean counters sat down and just started thinking, "how and we get a few more bucks out of our base?"
