Sunrocket is offering 2 for the price of 1 just for fathers day 🙂

Appears this is only for new subscribers, anyone who's a current subscriber get in on this?

Link hereLink for the needy:

Yes, it's for current subscribers who have signed up within the last month. I just spoke with customer service and they gave me a ticket number and agreed that I qualified (I signed up 3 days ago).

This is also MORE than just 199 for two years ($8.30 US a month for unlimited calling) it's also $3.00 of internation credit a month, free equipment, free setup (no connection fee), free 911 service, free voicemail.

I was a skeptic (see the other sunrocket post 3 pages in) but I just got mine all set up and I'm thrilled.

so is this better then vonage i been seeing around? this is acually the first time i looked into this internet phone stuff.

does it acually work well? i still keep my house phone around because my cell phone acts up all the time.

Will anything happen to my internet connection while i am online if someone picks up the phone? anyone got a newbie site i can learn real info from?

TIA

If you want to test VOIP before signing up on any sort of contract, ****** has a free incoming phone number, with voice mail. With this you get unlimited incoming calls to a number that is local to you.

But looks lke they are back with the $5 credit that you can call out on. (US calls will get almost 3 hrs of calls with their $5 bucks)

This service uses both an ATA (Adapter for regular phone use, but must be ordered)
Or a downloadable softphone (you will need a mic and head set)
Or use the free bridge that will allow you to dial in a local number (the one you set up) and get the cheap voip on a regular phone or cell.

I did it, and there were no charges to my card.I am now a power user. Had several friend try it.

It is a great way to do a try out.

Sunrocket has no contract. 30 day money back gaurantee, in fact they SEND you a free shipping label already paid for in case you want to send the stuff back.

It takes about 100kb both ways to do voip, so you really want at least 300 up and down to have "clear" voice.

One thing - go over to www.sunrocketforums.com and check to see their server IP. Ping their servers to make sure you get a decent connection (<100 ms pings).

This is a bit gushing. Are you sure you don't work for Sunrocket? 😀

Hey, don't forget the free signature number (with its own voicemail box) in the list. We use that one all the time. My wife is thrilled to have her own number with its own voicemail box.

Lol, no GeorgePA -- as you know, I'm just a happy customer of Sunrocket. Just wish I could get in on the 199/2 deal but I signed up last jan.

Hey, azomee, I was actually referring to LSDPulsar's post. If you recall, he had some minced words in the "other" thread, but is now suddenly a believer.

BTW, you can definitely sign up for the $199/2 yr. deal, port your numbers over, then cancel your old SR account. I have done this twice now for someone else, works like a charm. Porting within SR takes only 24 hrs.
