Sunny D has always been crap tasting as well as full of crap.

It's NEVER been a "real juice" product.

We refused to buy such garbage for our kids when they were little. (although I'm sure they still managed to get the stuff from time to time.

I wouldn't want to eat anything with neotame in it since I'm not on a diet. HFCS syrup is cheap enough so what kind of scrapping the bottom of the barrel crap is sunny D made from to begin with.

It's already just water and HFCS that's flavored, but they have to go cheap on the HFCS and use neotame to help sweeten it. Blagh.

What the kiddies here have to understand is that back 30-40 years ago, juice was very expensive. It only came in heavy glass jars, and 2 QT would cost a good $3-$4 (which would be like $6-$8 today). Therefore, there were a lot of "Juice Substitutes" out that were very popular. Tang was probably the most famous, but Sunny Delight, Five Alive and others flew off the shelves.

I remember getting up for school, pouring a bowl of Co-Co Puffs, and mixing a glass of Tang every morning. They even experimented with Grape tang for a while (wasn't as good).
