your eyes will thank you....

Plus... you will actually care about them so you wont lose them

I'm sure they are nice but I just don't care. I have used the same $9.99 ones for almost 2 years and still work great and don't look old or anything.

cool then, more power to you

I wear prescription so my glasses have to cost a fuckload

If I didn't I might have the same luxury of not caring about em 😛

Ah I see, that must suck. I don't have any problem whatsoever with any of the expensive glasses/people who buy them, I just meant that I personally don't see them as worth the money.

That's what I thought, until I was gifted my glasses. Immense difference IMO, my eyes are much more relaxed when outdoors. Maybe because I squint (sp?) more than average person without glasses.

you can get damn decent ones like bolle for 50, and theres a world of difference between them and 10 dollar pairs at a walgreens.

Not only that, the cheap ones are actually really bad for your eyes.

i think thats a load of bullshit but i have no real proof to give.

ive bought really cheap glasses and found them to be bad for my eyes, but there was no damage to my eyes, as i noticed the problem and bought new ones. youd only be damaging your eyes if there was a problem and you didnt notice or do anything about it. the coating on cheaper glasses isnt always the best, and youre an idiot if you dont inspect them and make sure they arent crappily built or flawed before you buy them.

Some cheap Ralph Lauren things I think. I just wear them for running when it's really sunny, otherwise I don't really wear sunglasses.

Bolle Piraja, prescription lenses in em

2 pairs, one pair slightly older & a little scratched up but a suitable backup pair

i used to have Oakley Minutes with prescription lenses. the frame broke in the same spot on both sides - too much pressure from always putting them on top of my hat and they finally broke. it was after the year warranty was up too.

my eyes are very sensitive to light and I squint and or my eyes water when it is really bright outside

I have a couple pairs of Oakley Juliets and I keep one pair in each vehicle. Then I have an old pair of Oakley Twentys that I wear when playing softball, or doing something that has potential to mess them up. They were my "cheap" ones, and my dad wears them day to day, I just take them back when I need them.

I've worn my friend's cheap sunglasses when I don't have mine, and I hate them. I have sensitive eyes, though, too. People think I'm crazy for having expensive shades, but I think they're worth every penny. Even my mom stopped giving me shit once they were down in the Dominican and her cheap ones didn't do anything. She took my "cheap" ones and said everything was crystal clear and didn't strain her eyes at all.

Ryders Dirtpaw for running and biking - bday present about 5 years ago. Not bad except on really bright days.

Dickies for everyday wear - $25 at Sears a couple years ago. Similar to what MetalMat posted but with a silver frame.

Oakley C-Wires, non-polarized. Paid $140 on Ebay 4 years ago, and they are still in like-new condition (with minor scratches on the lenses of course). I've worn them while swimming in a river, while skiing behind a boat, in the rain, in the snow, through hell and high water, and they have held up like nothing else I've ever seen. I'm about to make them my "backup" pair though, just because I'm tired of the blue ice color of the lenses.

Maui Jim Wailea's polarized

MJ-503-02

Best Sunglasses I've ever owned/worn

Have two pairs of Oakley's E wire, and square wire 2.0 polarized

my brother has a couple pairs of revo's and I prefer the maui jims to them as well

revo's were extremely heavy compared to MJ's or even the oakleys

I recently found out that you can actually get Oakley's prescription now, so I splurged. You don't wanna know how much they cost (over $500...)

Got two pairs of Coach ones. Not too expensive at all, have had them for over a year, which is good for me.
I would  some Pradas... 😱

What's so special about Maui Jims? I have a pair and i really like them but just wanted to know why they are better than Oakleys, Bolles etc.
