i buy oakleys all the time. as a member of the LE community we get a nice discount on their stuff. Mostly black frames with grey lenses

Maui Jims

I'd likely have much worse vision now without them - cross country drive into the morning sun can do a lot of damage. Those sunglasses were/are a life saver. Best damn polarized lenses I've ever seen.

Some cheap things I got at Sports Authority a few years ago. At the time, it was hard to find cheap sunglasses that meant the USAF requirements for wear in uniform.

WTF? The USAF has standards?

I have 2 pair that I got for $19.95 that have managed to stay not-lost-or-broken for nearly 6 months now. By that measure they are the best sunglasses I have ever owned. Knowing myself, I simply cannot spend any serious money on jewelry or personal adornment of any kind. I had a pair of Killer Loops for about a week that I liked once. I think they were about $80.

ditto. but one pair was $17.95, the other was $9.95. I've never spent more than $20 on shades.

Oh I have another pair of Oakleys, not polarized and plastic, I got on craiglist for $45. They work.

Ray Ban Polarized

My only complaint is that the polarized lenses distort colors when worn under my motorcycle helmet...that and the lenses are glass so they aren't really good for wearing on the bike anyway.

i got hit in the eye by a big ass beetle while wearing my wayfarers on a ride once. the last time i wore glass lenses on my bike. broke the lens, cut my lower lid up and almost dropped me from the surprise.

i wear $11.99 plastic wraps i get from gas stations. sometimes i can find a decent pair of polarized for 20 bucks or so and ill wear those, but ill never pay over 30 bucks for sunglasses again.

these are like mine but mine are all black with dark lenses. the pair i have now i found in an airport waiting for a flight to wisconsin

I have a narrow head. Currently wear some flat black Arnette polarized. Before that I destroyed/lost a couple pairs of Electric Digits.

I wear some faux Diesels that I paid $15 for on the street. My buddy at work paid $225 for his and he can't tell the difference 🙂

I just buy cheap ones from wherever since I only use them to drive -- New Balance or Speedo or something. Right now I can't justify spending over $100 for a pair of sunglasses. Ridiculous

your eyes will thank you....

Plus... you will actually care about them so you wont lose them

I'm sure they are nice but I just don't care. I have used the same $9.99 ones for almost 2 years and still work great and don't look old or anything.

cool then, more power to you

I wear prescription so my glasses have to cost a fuckload

If I didn't I might have the same luxury of not caring about em 😛

Ah I see, that must suck. I don't have any problem whatsoever with any of the expensive glasses/people who buy them, I just meant that I personally don't see them as worth the money.

you can get damn decent ones like bolle for 50, and theres a world of difference between them and 10 dollar pairs at a walgreens.

Not only that, the cheap ones are actually really bad for your eyes.

2 pairs of maui jim

i only wear the maui jim sports

they look good. they feel superb. the rubber grips keeps them on. and best optics

Maui Jims, bought for under $100 at Costco, they have a selection of about 5 or 6 different Maui Jims, some Bolle and some Raybans as well as some select other ones.

My Ray-Bans have held up surprisingly well over the years.

Maui Jim is supposed to be very good brand.

Von Zipper Papa G Polarized Glass
$175
Love them, take great care of them, would replace them with Von Zippers.
