But seriously, $300 sunglasses is a lot of cash.

should have been more specific sorry. I get 50% discount on any sunglasses that i buy because one of my relative owns the place but i have no idea what i want.

I'm very fond of my Oakleys.
I buy expensive sunglasses for 1 reason. Better lens. I dont give a damn about being cool. High end sunglasses have FAR better lens then those cheap ones. I'm sure other comparably expensive brands have lens on par or better then Oakleys, but they've always been good for me so no complaints.

I've always had good luck with just the off-the-shelf Oakleys.
I think any mid to high end sunglass would be good, I've just always had Oakleys. Been lookin at other brands to maybe find something not so youth oriented though, but I think my next pair will be Oakleys then maybe after that go to something else. They last fairly well, I usually have to replace them due to worn out elns before actual frame problems (In terms of scratchs on the lens)

Not if your "allergic" to the sun.
I love outdoors, but on a bright sunny summer day? Without a GOOD set of sunglasses I literally cant go more then an hour tops in the sun before I'm done. Without sunglasses my eyes burn, my head starts to hurt, I can hardly open my eyes. It horrid. I dunno why, but bright sunlight really gets me on the eye issue. I can lay out all day with sunglasses on, but take'm off? Oh God.....

I have a pair of ray-bans now that i like. THey look pretty damn sharp (my girlfriend didnt like my old pair she said they looked like bug eyes). My old pair were better for driving tho. They were about $250 when I got them. THey were Costa Del Mars and the lens were poloarized. They werent too dark...I could see out of them at night...but the sun never got to me when driving on a sunny day even around sun set when glare is bad. You should check out Costa Del Mar. I think okleys are over rated. The okleys i had before my costas were really sh!tty.

I'm the same way. Bright sunlight freaking kills my eyes. I'm very sensitive to the sun.

<----- Oakley whore.

I own a pair of M-Frames ($100-140), a pair of A-Wire 2.0 ($155), and I'm looking into a pair of C-Wires, and Zeroes. You don't need ot spend $300, the A-Wires I have are by far the best I've ever tried on! 🙂

I have a pair of Oakley Why3's

I thought first damn these things are expensive.

Now I appreciate them. I think it was well worth the money.

I'd rather not sit on, lose, break, scratch, or otherwise worry about $300 sunglasses.

Anyway, I'm happy enough with the $15 Foster Grants I have now. They protect my eyes fine, I'm sure, and they aren't distorted or anything. 100% UV protection, or something like that. Are $300 glasses good for 2000% protection? Explain.
