Is the sunfire t1000 single die? with all 6-8 on a single die, or is it multi die, like current intel quads
 
It's single-die. It also sucks pretty badly compared to Intel's quads (heck, even dual-cores can spank it).

In dedicated application performance, yes, but when you're running 32 threads, consumer procs have major problems
