This CompUSA DEAL is good for Sunday 3/14 only

Centon 512MB DDR RAM PC2700
on sale for $39.99 after a $5 and a $35 rebate,

you can get shipping for a penny with orders or $150 or higher

comes with a lifetime warranty

I've tried 3 of their sticks so far, haven't overclocked but runs great with no problems. They are a division of Micron which is more known than Centon though.

😀 ordered some stuff at midnight last night: 2 PS2 controllers with built-in sreens ($20 each, no rebates), 512MB Centon PC2700 DIMM ($39.99 after $35 MIR), 20 pack of DVD-Rs ($9.99 after instant savings) and the Mad Dog 16x DVD-ROM ($9.99 after $35MIR). $100AR + tax, $0.05 shipping. I saved myself a trip.

Yes

Centon typically uses non name brand chips these days. They are usually ok for non high performance systems. Probably good for your Dell 2400.

I went down there 15 minutes after they opened and it was a ZOO. Looked like black friday to me. I didn't even bother asking about that ram. They had some of the crappy re-furbed hdd's left but I just walked out.

Ended up going to BB and picked up their ram deal $49AR: 512mb pc2700 Kbyte (Spectek chips) which a known quality chip.

Where'd you get this info from? The chips on these simms are "elite". Centon has been a brand name for many, many years. Are you thinking of SpecTek?
