Yea, today I am feelin that, but I did go to church and do feel better because of that. The weird thing it, I don't think of myself as a Catholic anymore but i felt good as I left mass.

When this happens, I focus my thoughts on good things I have coming up in my life.

OP, try focusing on things that will excite you in the future... no matter how small they might seem.

I had a decent, relaxed weekend and I'm inexplicably kinda depressed too. Part of it might be the knowledge that I have to study for my exams this week today.

I really enjoy Sundays (especially the morning) because the streets are empty and most people are at home which means fewer crowds, lines, traffic, etc wherever I may be going.

I spend Monday through Friday looking forward to Saturday, and dreading Sunday, because it means that Monday is nearby.

What court?

It might be the fact that I sit around on Sundays. I go to school at night and work full time, so it could just be that I'm used to being constantly occupied -- even though I look forward to sitting around the other 6 days.

I'll post back tomorrow with the court and the result. It's a state level clerkship here in VA, I don't think I'm Federal material :)

Haha, nice.. I have a personal vendetta against some PACER districts :)

I used to go through this depression when I was in school. SO hard starting up a school week. Now that I work it's not as bad. At least I know the work I put in is not useless and I get paid for it at the end. School = work your ass off on tons of projects with ridiculous deadlines, only for nothing to of happen from all that work, at the end.

Though the WORSE depression was when the summer break was almost over, and facing the realization that school/college is about to start. Mid August was the worse, when I realize, there's only 2-3 weeks left. So glad that's over though.

I'm not happy to have to get up to go to work as I'd prefer to stay in bed like everyone else but at same time, I'm happier that it's work and not school. To all you people in school out there, don't screw around, just graduate and you'll be out of there faster. ;)

Even though I look forward to tomorrow, I still have the same mind-set that I have had for years about Sunday. I always disliked going to school and now I love going to school but I still feel all down.

I sort of get the same reaction on a Friday. Working the 5th shift I get sort of depressed when it comes around. It means that I take care of my 3 month old til around 1pm when I go upstairs and take a nap til around 5 or 5:30. I then take a shower and get ready to leave for work at 6:30pm. This gives me just one hour to spend with my wife and 3yr old daughter. Then I look forward to the weekend when I get to spend a grand total of 8 additional hours between the two days of spending time with my family.

And while most people will say, "Dude, you only work 3 days and you're pissed?" realize that;
1. I enjoy spending time with my family
2. These are very impressionable years for my kids. I don't want them to not have a father figure in their lives. My father worked 2nd and 3rd shifts most of his life and I really didn't know him all that much growing up.

I'm a para... I have no desire to go to law school (but just that is content enough for a new thread :)) I just figure that if there are filing fees, and multiple documents being filed in each docket, then with each fee the cost is subsidized enough to hire someone additional bodies to make sure your dockets aren't a hot mess.. that is all :laugh:
