Sunbeam Nuuo 550w Help

I bought a new smaller case that has no 3.25 bays and I have been using the monitor that comes with the sunbeam. But with the new case I can't use it and frankly dont care.
However, there was the part that was over the smart protection connector where the wire hooks up (little wire that comes out near the major wire bundle). I think it may have just been a cover, but not sure as it could be a jumper or even a detector of some sort.
Does anyone have this PSU? Can you tell me is that piece needed or can I run the unit without it? Because I can't find it.

I think it is just a cover. I've got a dead one in the garage (a Nuuo 450W). Maybe it still has those on there so I can check?

I have that psu in a box I gave to my kid, I never used the front panel so the cap is still in place. It is a female 2 pin with no connection between the two. Just protection against grounding, black tape will do the trick.
