Hmm. They say it's actually a CCFL light, in a different package.
SVC doesn't say it's a CCFL and seems to try to point out it's advantages over CCFL.

And not too many color choices.

they are ccfl, they don't nearly generate as much heat. even though they dont provide a long light to cover the length of the case, it's great especially for acrylic cases where a ccfl would typically be blinding you because you can't hide it and a led is much too weak to give a nice glow. i think a uv hyper light would be awesome.

So how are they cooler than normal CCFL then?
