That's rather strange, since Oracle Java Runtime is only up to JRE 7u7 at the official site.

With a Java uninstaller, maybe 😉

On that note, if you folks have a need for Java, like maybe a P2P program that uses it, disable the Java plug-in in all your browsers so it doesn't invite exploitation. If you need Java in your browser for one or two sites you can't live without, install a separate browser that you use only for those specific sites. That's my advice.

I will hold off until Java 7, Update 10 is on the Java site or until Java itself checks for the update.

Hope this fixed the proxy authentication bug, been having a few clients with that issue and it's freaking annoying.

I'll also wait until the Java auto-updater pulls it down.

I hate java and don't even use it. Opens to much of a security risk.

Java 7 Update 10 is still in Beta per the Java site.
