We didn't get into any crowds in Olympic and Ranier, but Yosemite was like madness. The best thing to do there to get away from people is to take some of the more remote trails. For example, the trail to Nevada / Vernal Falls is one of the most popular and crowded trails in the park. But there is a slightly longer and more strenuous trail to the falls that we took and saw almost nobody. And it was considerably more scenic (we took the shorter trail back).

1991, 3 month self contained cycle tour across the US. Was really more of a life style then a vacation though. Best experience ever.

The best vacation my gf and I had was in Manhattan, NY. We did everything! Broadway plays, dining, harbor cruise, sight seeing, picnic in Central Park. Too many things to do and not enough time.

Ditto, I have a feeling I will be working construction here but the pay will be really decient so

3 friends and I road tripped from Connecticut down to Florida for 16 days. One of the friends parents were rich and picked up the motels, meals and theme park admissions, about the only thing we had to pay for was beer and other evening entertainments. We drove down in one day and back in one day. That left us a week in the central Florida area for Disney, Epcot, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, etc and another full week on the east coast beaches. We ate like pigs and drank more beer and bourbon than a human should be able to survive. Even only paying for the booze it still cost a fortune.

BTW, a REALLY cool way to do EPCOT is to drink your way around the world showcase area. Have a tequila in the Mexico pavilion, a Guinness at the Rose and Crown pub in England, a Beck's in the Biergarten in Germany, a sake in Japan etc etc etc. By the time you make it all the way around the lake you're toasted and ready for the Journey into Imagination pavilion. When properly toasted those dancing water fountains and musical floor lights and all the other stuff inside becomes 100 times more entertaining.
