Well, all the good shows (24, Lost, House) have come and gone.

Question is: what's there to watch now?

I read somewhere that it was going to be the summer of reality TV. There are some REALLY bad ones coming soon.

Lost has it's pilot episode airing this week and next. I was hoping they were going to run them all in a row so I could TIVO the entire season. If not I have to rent or buy the DVD's.

exactly what I don't like. Ugh. When will that fad die?

When the networks that show them begin making fictional shows that don't suck and pander to the lowest common denominator.

It all starts with seven women who are academically impaired. Next, add seven men who are brilliant but socially challenged. The concept is to pair up couples for a chance to win a $250,000 grand prize. Each mismatched pair competes in various activities designed to test intellect, fashion savvy and even dance moves. There's a spelling bee for the girls, massage lessons for the guys, and an introduction to actual rocket science when the girls compete to see who can build a working rocket. During these competitions, the geek must try to pass his brains onto the beauty, while the beauty tries to pull the game out of the geek. They're so far apart on the social spectrum that they're practically different species, but if they make it to the end, they could both walk away gifted and gorgeous.

the beauty and the geek wb starts wed.

The Dead Zone - Easily one of my favorite shows regardless of the time of the year. A good premise (based off the Stephen King book) that's well executed with fantastic writing, acting and production. New season starts in a couple weeks and I can't wait. :D

The 4440 - A mini-series from last summer that was so highly regarded they're bringing it back as a full show. Similar premise to the X-files with lots of storyline possibilities.

Reno 911 - Always good for comic relief.

Here's a good, quick summary of some of the upcoming shows this summer. 'The Inside' looks like it could be interesting.

Hell's Kitchen - it's a reality show, but looks like it has the potential to be pretty funny.

also, new BSG in July.
