I bitch about anything above 50F though. I would love to be in Vostok right now.

at least youors doesnt have "Excessive heat warning in effect until 8 PM MST this evening... " posted on it like it does here... and its not really that hot here today.

on a random thought, where do they take the "record" and official readings at? there are so many reporting stations, which do they call the one source for that info? in phx it was a recorded 114 yesterday, tied for the record for that day. but out in mesa it was up to 117.
 
It's been very pleasant in MD this year. I don't like anything over 65F, but this summer is better than any in memory. It looks like the warmest day this week will be 87F. Last year I amused myself by comparing MD with places that have reputations for heat(Iraq, Africa, Australia...) MD matched, or beat them most of the time :^(
 
Bah...I think today was our 7th day in a row over 100...with little to no relief in sight. (the local weather sez it MIGHT drop into the high 90's for a couple of days, then back to over 100 again before the weekend.)

Fairly typical summer here in NorCal's Central Valley.
 
Its been reallllly cool here in Northeast Iowa...today was 76 I think and that is the hottest its been for 5-6 days now. No me gusta. I like 90F and sun.
 
aside from the rain in may and early june, this has been the best summer temperature wise that i can remember.
