For beer, I only drink stouts, so to me a nice summer beer is, indeed, a nice cold stout.

Many of the rest of us will occassionally venture outside in the summer, going out to eat in outdoor cafes or going to raucous, fun lawn parties, often with a pool, interacting, you know, with other people.

Horsehoes and badminton, for instance, are fun yet problematic to set up inside, tu as compris?

And, while experiencing the joy of interacting with others in the great outdoors, we may well opt to choose a lighter summer beer that goes with that sort of experience.
I do all that stuff outside too, probably far more than you do. But there are times that the weather is crappy and I also enjoy a good meal inside. I live in the Midwest where we experience 107°F (41°C) summers and -30°F (-34°C) winters, occasional 90+ mph winds, hail, thunderstorms, etc. I'm not going to limit my food or drink based on whether or not I'm outside or inside, or whatever artificial reasoning you can come up with.

A good hearty milk stout is far superior even in the summer to crappy pilsners, pale ales, IPAs, blondes, etc that people think that you must drink in the summer. The chocolaty notes of a milk stout go quite well around a campfire with smores or similar treats in the summer. But, you'll never experience those wonders for some snobby reason that I just don't understand. I'm the one who drinks what I want when I want where I want. You are the person who limits what you can do because it is the "wrong season".

I drink 'em all, although I don't drink beer too many times.

I love me some refreshing pale lager during summer - mainstream brands like Heineken and Corona.
I also like those tasty cloudy wheat brew (hefeweizen) are delicious too.
Stouts are ok.
IPAs are so played out, ugh.

Your post is chock full of ignorant, unfounded, asshole assumptions that are scarcely worth responding to, so I merely bolded several of them for others here to point at and laugh.

You come across as seriously dense, dullard.

I'll just leave you with this, a selfie (my first!) taken just now on my back veranda, overlooking my 2 and 1/2 acres through which the North Branch of the Neshaminy Creek rolls:

I get that people have preferences. I have favorites too.

Let me explain though, why I have different beers for different things/activities. I find that drinking high specific gravity beers whilst in the extreme heat (over 100 F.), after extreme exertion and likely dehydrated, further crashes my sugar level and ruins the enjoyment. Drinking a Pilsner or a pale ale gives me some carbs for recovery, and without the sugar crash.

When just sitting around? Just sitting around means I drink what I want, when I want. My preferences are like how many people choose restaurants. I get bored and want to see what's out there. This week a buddy of mine brought over some Bentonville Brewing, Home Wrecker, and Boulevard Brewing, Bourbon Barrel Quad (BBQ...get it?!) for us to sit out on the hillside and chillax with.

You come across as seriously stupid, dullard.
I think you should think about your posts here. Really, truely, look back at what I posted and then what you posted. Please try not to bring personal insults into threads.

I simply stated that it is a nice room temperature where I was at, so why should I have a "summer beer" instead of what I want to drink. Then you come back with:
1) claiming that I am choosing to not experience things,
2) falsely imply that I don't venture outside,
3) incorrectly use a French phrase indicating that I don't understand,
4) lie that I "feel so threatened",
5) fabricate that I "feel the need to pound your chest and threadcrap"
6) say that I post "ignorant, unfounded, asshole assumptions"
7) and that I am "seriously dense"

All that because I like a stout in the summer. I'm not going to report your two posts, because this behavior is atypical for you. But, really a post that said I like stouts when the room temperature is comfortable brings that much anger to you? This may be of help to you: https://www.recovery.org/support-groups/emotions-anonymous/

Im enjoying a molson canadian right now...because my crazy roommate bought me a 6 pack for my birthday today. Cheers!

This and Molson Golden Ale were our "go-to's" back in the day. :)

So bummed I had to stop drinking beer for awhile due to new meds ... the only thing worse than getting old is the freaking alternative!

Oh and speaking of getting old ... belated Happy birthday Mayne! :D

Please don't feel so threatened

Pretty sure I'll be okay thanks! ;)

*(can't speak for anyone else)

and that I am "seriously dense"

Based purely on user-name I would surmise that was the intent no?

;)

Q: What are the characteristics of a dullard?

A: If you say that someone is a dullard, you mean that they are rather boring, unintelligent, and unimaginative. [old-fashioned] Synonyms: dolt, dope [informal], dunce, clod.

(sorta like calling ME a douchebag! :p )

I like stouts in summer too, just had a BA one at a local brewery even though it's 80 out. I drink what I like, and if I can enjoy a heavy stout when it's somewhat warm then so be it.

You should report him to himself. Then he can ban himself and ride off into the sunset while this place burns down around us.
