Mostlikely the Epox 8K5A3 I would say...at least currently. Correct people???

You can buy it here at Newegg, but remember, the price seems to be quite a raise compared to the Epox 8K5A2 which is good too.
Here is the link to these boards at Newegg:

Epox at Newegg

Note: I don't seem to see the Epox 8K5A3 sold without Raid yet--at least at Newegg anyway.

Because Epox is simply just better. I've heard less complaints with Epox than most boards. Gigabyte just hasn't received the praises and reputation that Epox has, except that Gigabyte is now starting to put more ads. But if you want to go with Gigabyte, I'm not stopping you! I'm simply telling you what I feel because you asked in this thread. Want our opinion? there you have it!

Should i get the 8k5a2+, 7vaxp, 7vrxp.

I have a 120gb hdd, agp 4x/2x geforce 2, 784 megs of pc2100, cdrw and cd rom, and an amd thunderbird 1.0 ghz.

WHich of these is better and why?
something about the 7VAXP not supporting 4x/2x cards. ( i have a hercules 3d prophet 2 geforce 2 gts 32mb card)

Thanks.

There are soo many options its a bit confusing....the epox is supposed to be good but so is the gigabyte....the gigabyte has dual bios and the epox doesnt. i mean where is the line drawn between the two? How is one better than the other?

Thanks.

Most peeps here will give you their choice and maybe even a brief explanation why. If you want an in-depth analysis, you'll have to research the forum or the web for reviews.

Many people people like the Epox because it has fewer complaints and is a great board for overclocking. I have a feeling you don't overclock, so that may not be important to you. The MSI KT3 is a nice stable board and is cheap (without RAID).
