I'm waiting. :colbert:

And Mnewwhatever, you're still a piece of shit. No matter how long you've been on that train.

How so? People die, every, fucking, day. Want me to cry over all of them? Lol it was this persons choice im not going to feel bad and I am going to complain because they are total ass hats. What gives them the right to do that?

I have been on this train for 30 hours now. If they wanted to kill themselves they didn't have to do it in a way that is inconveniencing hundreds of people. They are the ass holes here, they should have been thinking of thier family before they laid across the tracks. Shut the fuck up. If you think I should feel sorry for the family, well sorry I don't. Hell there may not even be a family. The first suicide last night was a homeless man with no close family. This second person could be the same. You don't know.

huh? you've been on the train for 30 hours straight? am I missing something here??

Washington DC to Miami. left washington at 3pm. First suicide outside richmond around 5:45 pm monday. That took 2 hours to clean up. Today near fort lauderdale florida we hit a second pedestrian around 5:25 pm looked like a woman but the body was not easily identified. just started moving again around 8:45. Will probably be 45 to 1 hour until we reach miami.

Anyone else remember seeing a video floating around of a guy standing on top of a train with a crowd of people trying to get him down? He ended up grabbing the power line hanging above the train and fries himself. I want to say it was in India.

A friend of mine used to work for Union Pacific and hit numerous people, suicides and drunks passed out on the tracks. That's really got to suck to know you're about to kill someone without the ability to stop.

There was a '60 Minutes' on that a few years ago. Most engineers hit someone by the time they retire and are basket cases because of it afterwards.

Ugh, if you're going to kill yourself use a gun to blow out your brain stem and do it OUTDOORS! Don't inconvenience a bunch of other people.

I'd hate to be a train operator. One of my buddy's grandfathers was an operator on large long-haul freight trains and there was nothing he could do when someone decided to run in front of him. Not like he could slam on the brakes with 3/4 mile of freight cars behind him.

It happens a lot. There was a scary accident here a few weeks back. Not a suicide though. A minivan waiting at a level crossing got rear eneded and pushed into the path of an oncoming train. Lady bailed just in the nick of time. Took the train 2km to stop though.

My aunt was also involved in a train crash last year. Dump truck decided it could beat the train. It couldn't. She was shaken up but unhurt. Fortunately the passenger trains slow down when going through towns. It it had been going at speed, it would have been much worse.
