Well I was heading south on the amtrak silver star train 91 when about 15 minutes ago just outside of richmond virginia we hit a person. Probably suicide. This sucks as we are now gonna be sitting here for a few hours probably. Happened about 20 feet from me, too dark to see anything right now tho, so no pics.

Anyone have this happen to them?


UPDATE:
10 minutes from fort lauderdale and a woman laid down on the tracks. Yeah, a 2nd suicide on the same train in 24 hours.

I've stood in some really bad metro delays in the past because someone threw themselves in front of a train. Not at that station, though. Can't imagine how awful that would be.
 
The worst is when they survive. Imagine being on a subway train and you can hear the person screaming under you? They have to bring in jacks and lift the train up to get them out. It's messed up.

yeah, I got pissed off the last time, I was 2 hours late for class because some asshole couldn't off himself in his own damned home instead of inconviniencing 50% of danish commuters, I hope you fry in hell you douchebag.
 
3 cops are pointing flash lights about 5 feet in front of us at the trucks of the car. Maybe they found the body...or parts

No, I haven't been hit by a train before.
 
A friend of mine used to work for Union Pacific and hit numerous people, suicides and drunks passed out on the tracks. That's really got to suck to know you're about to kill someone without the ability to stop.
 
Just seriously think of the despair that poor guy was feeling to reach this point. A living breathing human just like yourself.

Not so funny is it? But then again in this day and age no one gives a shit about anyone else.

I think of how selfish his/her decision is with its impact on anyone who may care for them, but bringing in all these people who are uninvolved.

If you live your life feeling bad for others, you'll just end up like the person throwing themself infront of a train.

Sh!t happens and people have to over come it. I've gone from doing pretty good, having a kid, then get laid off, then told your other child is Autistic and mentally retarded and we'd be lucky if she developed to the level of a 3 or 4 year old, not finding work for over a year, to picking my self up, finding a job and doing better than ever now.
Life throws you curve balls, Don't be a b!tch and take the easy way out. Swing for the fences until you hit it.

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
