consider "Suicide is not chosen; it happens when pain exceeds resources for coping with pain."

The last time I heard that, it was from a CpE student with the programming Project from Hell due the next day.

I was talking to a friend whos husband killed himself and she used those terms, like "selfish" and felt he wasn't thinking of the feelings of the people he left. Should we have a responsibility for the feelings of survivors if we don't want to be here anymore? And sorry folks, I'm not going anywhere.

If you do not have the freedom to decide whether or not you yourself should exist, isn't ALL other "freedom" meaningless?

I say that if you are in any position where people depend on you, like if you have a family, dependents, etc., then killing yourself is an extremely selfish action.

You might not think so, but somewhere along the line SOMEONE invested some time and effort into you. You should think about that before taking your own life.

I agree Astaroth, as your statement should seem obvious to rational people, so why are our rights taken if we try to deliberately leave the planet? Why are these people then deemed "unfit for society" and mental reconditioning forced apon them?

POLL???

Heres a question: If a person with multiple personalities attempts suicide, can they be convicted of attempted murder?
