Suicide sodas

QueBert

Lifer
Was at JITB tonight getting some grub and I ran into a young kid I sort of know. He's like 10 or 11. I was telling him about when I was his age I use to drink Suicide sodas, he didn't have a clue what it was. I told him it's a little bit of every soda in the fountain machine together. His eyes got big and he goes over and proceeds to put every soda, even diet. Then he puts some ice tea, AND then he added a coffee creamer packet. I watched him drink some and he told me it was the best soda he'd ever had. I'm pretty sure he really did like it, and I'm pretty sure if I tried one being 35 now, I'd almost throw up. But when I was 11 I thought it was the tastiest shit ever too.

What he made was nasty, lol.

I almost never mix drinks but ironically the 7-11 I went to TODAY didnt have enough syrup in the Coke mix so for the first time since 1984, I mixed in a little Dr Pepper to sweeten up my drink.

It worked. 🙂

i mix coke zero and pibb xtra

also mix sprite with fruit punch and lemonade

sometimes i do the full suicide though 🙂

I seem to remember only getting suicide sodas after baseball/football/soccer games when I was there with my team.

When I was at Boy Scout Camp *cough* I mean Awesome Cool Kids camp, we used to make something called "Black Suicide Slushies" at the local general store, which was every 5 squirts single slushy flavor mixed together. For some ungodly reason, it would turn jet black. I always figured that was why it was called a "suicide". Didn't know it was done with soda too. 🙂

In NYC dont the diners have a drink called Lime Rickey that's unmeasured amounts of sprite lemonade and lime juice.

Haha, remember doing that with my friends at my 6th grade celebration. We just went down the table of liter bottles and competed to make the tastiest concoction. Fun stuff, mainly because that's back in the day when Surge was still around. 😛

i used to always do that when i was a kit at McD's where they had fountain sodas. i really liked it. nowadays, i can't stand sodas in general and only drink juice...

That actually sounds good to me, and it makes sense. Mixing Coke, Dr Pepper, Root Beer, Strawberry, Sprite & Hi-C, sounds like a disaster. I like mixing Sprite with Lemonade, I'ma have to try it with some Lime juice. With the world being so PC today I don't even think adults would allow kids to call them suicides. I like the name Swap Water, hadn't even heard it before now, but it definitely fits.

The BK's out here have stickers on the fountain machine with what sodas to mix to get mixed drinks, their name and what food they go with. I always chuckle because I think some people take it serious.

It was better back in the 80's at the concession stands since they only had about 4 or 5 drinks on tap, now that they have 20 it's not so good.

I tend to always go the graveyard route when I get fountain drinks.

I don't care for the mix nowadays, but graveyard is what we called them back in the "early days of soda." (Maybe it was because the mix of chemicals could put you IN the graveyard.) 😛

heh...my son just did that at Taco Bell last week 🙂 He loved it (because kids say they love stuff they made, no matter how bad it is).
