I recently changed my old computer. My old computer had ATA HDD and all my working information are stored in there. Now I have purchased a new machine and I found that this one is with SATA HDD. But I need to transfer all my data into new machine.

My question is that is it possible to transfer all the data from my ATA HDD to SATA HDD. If yes then hiow. Anyone please tell me.

Do you intend to keep the old computer running?

If not, you can put the old drive in an external USB enclosure, and keep it as a backup drive for your new machine. In the enclosure, you will be able to transfer data both ways, or with other computers.

If so, you can put the old drive in the new machine temporarily (in IDE mode), and copy the data to the new drive.
