Have a BA visa with no points. Feeling bad that I don't have one that allows me to accumulate points / miles
Which is the best one out there ?

Unless you use your credit card A LOT I hate airline cc's because of the annual fee.

Usually the minimum for a free domestic roundtrip airline ticket is 25,000 points (or $25,000 in charges) which would take me about 2 years to reach.

Let's assume I only used my credit card at supermarkets, drugstores and gas stations. That same $25,000 in charges would earn me $1,250 in cash rebates using the following credit card:

CitiBank Dividend Platinum Select
  • $0 annual fee
  • Eligible for VISA or MasterCard card benefits such as warranty manager service which extends your manufacturer's warranty by 1 year for FREE. I use this cc to buy all my electronics and computer equipment.
  • 0% APR balance transfer for 12 months for new cardholders.
  • Earn full 5% cash back on purchases at supermarkets, drugstores and gas stations.
  • Earn full 1% cash back on all other purchases.
  • CitiBank Virtual Account Numbers which is an AWESOME feature that issues unique 1 time use credit card numbers. You specify the limit and expiration date.
  • Great online banking which posts payments the same day if made before 1PM EST for FREE.
  • 24/7 customer service from one of the largest financial institutions in the world.

I looked pretty hard at this a few weeks back, and agree with RossMAN...the Citibank Dividend card seems to be the best one out there, especially with no annual fee. Their virtual account numbers are also really easy to use on a Windows machine...automatically fills in the form for you.
