I have managed to get my fx5600 256mb from stock 325/500 up to 360/600. thats 10% oc on the core and 20% on the memory (stock voltages). i am very satisfied with the memory clock, but any tips on raising the core? it runs perfectly stable at 361, but 3dmark freezes at even 363 lol. i have seen people with ocs up to 380, and even 400. temps cant be the problem, 38 C idle and 42-46 C load using thermaltake giant 2 and copper vga ramsinks.
any tips on ocing the core further?

heres my best 3dmark03: 2723

The old 5600 non-flipchip models topped out at around 375MHz, I doubt you?ll get much more than what you are already at.

I'm no overclocking expert, but I experimented with "lapping" my GF3 core and the cooling performance improved a bit with a Vantec Iceberg thingy. In my case, the package had a slight lip on it that I was able to smooth out. Perhaps give this a try on yout 5600?

I basically just used fine sandpaper and cleaned with alcohol. Went from about 230 max stable core to about 240.
