Suggestions on where to go for a nice weekend...

I live about 20 minutes outside of New York City, and instead of taking my girlfriend to Prom, she wants to go somewhere for the weekend. Was thinking about going camping or something of that nature. We don't want to go to a beach. Can anyone suggest anything?
