Suggestions on upgrades to improve my performance and FPS for Games.

Well, you are using Intel, and you are complaining about the FPS you're getting... is that not true?

I hope you do overclock the hell out of that 2.4C you're getting... if not, you'd be pretty disappointed with that $180 upgrade. My whole point was that a 2.4 Ghz P4... meaning... an Intel Pentium 4 processor running at 2,400 Mhz isn't not desireable for gaming anymore. I'm not talking about the model... I'm talking about the speed it's running at. So your 2.4C RUNNING AT 3.2 Ghz would do just fine... but that's not what I was debating.

That is why i am posting (read topic ), and i think its ironic that i am going for the 2.4c since its one hell of an overclocker!

And just to make this clear... you wouldn't buy anything lower than 2.4 Ghz, and you're going to be running it quite a bit faster than 2.4 Ghz... so then you agree that a 2.4 Ghz P4 is at the lower end of the spectrum of gaming rigs?

No, not lower end. I just got back from a 1000 person lan (not that big but never the less) and 2.4 was def mid range if not higher...

I think the conflict of opinion was because of our definition of a "gaming rig" ... anandtech needs a "computer jargon dictionary" to define all this stuff... oh... and make sure "w00t" is in there too, them maybe I'll finally find out what the hell that means.

Well, none right now cause the fan on my video card died... but... Soldier of Fortune 2 a lot, Counter-Strike, Battlefield 1942, Ghost Recon, The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, NHL 2002, Tony Hawk 3, and another family member plays around with MS Flight Simulator 2002 a lot.
