1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
-gaming and programming (getting into multithreaded more and more)
2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
-trying to spend around $1000 on what I still need
3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
-USA, usually grab newegg
4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc, etc, etc, you get the picture.
-prefer Intel and nVidia but open to suggetions
5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
-Antec 1200, Corsair HX520 PSU, 2x2GB DDR2 1066 RAM, 22" 19x12 LCD, 5.1 speakers
6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.
-yes, have general idea of what is good
7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
-no point in not overclocking...
8. WHEN do you plan to build it?
-soon as possible (read as buget allows)
