Question Suggestions on a 4k video editing build

My son has decided he want to try some video editing, videos will be from a Canon 6D MK II, iPhone and a Mavic 2. I have built pcs but it has been years ago and haven't kept up at all with the latest. I don't want to go crazy and I don't need the latest greatest hardware. I would be fine with used parts as well so I would appreciate some bare minimum recommendations on parts, what I need to get or higher.

Linus just posted a video last last year about a budget 4k workstation. I listed out the equipment they used at that time. There may be other options today. You can't really "skimp" with 4k video. Memory and storage will be important.

First, it is good to see you here. I hope life is treating you great.

And you do not need to spend a $1000 for your son to learn to edit 4K video. He has no deadlines/time is not money, and it is basically a lab.

If you have a external passport or something laying around, he can use it for the raw footage. If not a 2TB is like $60-$70. That is plenty of PC for his first editing rig.

PS. What PSU wattage and how many PCI-E cables does it come with, and is there room for a GPU?

That's the closest from Acer themselves (recert.) that I could find to that system. Only 8GB of RAM, instead of 12GB, and nearly $54 more expensive.
