This is distinct from writing the actual project plan and would like to know from those who have any experience on what needs to go into writing such a plan. If there are any samples you would care to post that would be most instructive. TIA.
 
Someone had a question very similar to this one VERY recently and got a great deal of help. I'll find the thread and get a link for you.
