Has anyone here ever shipped a heavy package overseas? I need to ship 15-20lb package of books to mainland China..

Which should I go with? UPS, FedEx or USPS?

Depending on where you're sending it and how fast, each has its benefits. Some of them deliver certain places more quickly than others, some guarantee a certain time frame to one place and the other another. I'd call around to each of them with your specifics and check their rates with them directly.

Here are your options.

1)Ask a bunch of internet nerds to make random opinionated guesses on the merits of various overseas shipping methods. Dive through the speculation and hearsay to try to find a couple nuggets of truth.

2)Call the shipping companies directly and say "How much would it cost to ship a 15-20lb package of books to mainland China, and when would it get there?"

USPS-cheapest, its like 15.00 lb for their 3 to 5 days service to arrive in your destination country, after that its up to China's mail service. Like the other poster stated, it will depend on the local area after that.

I ship stuff to Hong Kong, Maylasia, Taiwan, Philphines etc. USPS is the cheapest. Unless you got mucho $$$, don't even bother with other two.
