Suggestions for network/server based Antivirus Software

I'm looking for an Antivirus package that I can administer from a single server to scan and protect about 20 Win2k and XP Pro machines on a network. I've got a SonicWall running as my firewall, and I have Trend Micro's Scan Mail running on my Exchange 2k box.

There's a lot of different options out there, and was looking for success stories on certain solutions or for products to avoid. I'd like a system that would update itself and has the the lowest reliance on the end user's PC. I want to avoid not having up to date dat files on individual dat files or having users disabling virus software on the desktops.

I know that I can do some sort of virus protection with the sonic wall firewall, but haven't really seen much info on it as far as how reliable/successful it is in catching/preventing viruses.

Just looking for some suggestions and recommendations from the collective knowledge that this board has 🙂
 
I absolutely love trend micro.

Use it on all servers, app servers, mail servers, any server. PCs. And also to scan HTTP and FTP traffic to and from the internet.

multiple layers of protection, automatic code/virus updates, easy and centrally managed.
 
I have personal experience with both Trend and Norton Anti-Virue CE. They both worked well with me.

I'm sure some people will knock me for this but I really liked NAV CE more. It's very easy to install and push to clients if they are Win 2k or above. All updates are done automatically by the server and pushed to the clients to reduce bandwith waste. Also, you can configure the client settings then lock them down so users won't mess w/ 'em.

I have installed it on about 4 different networks. It's very easy to install. Only thing to watch is that you need to look at the directions to see the correct order you need to install the components. You have to swap between CD's a couple times. I don't understand why they don't place them on the cd menu's in the order they should run... That's my only gripe, and it's a small one. I think I heard that they fixed that in the version that just came out...
 
We use Norton CE as well and it is very easy to update and push to clients.

We've had some problems with their latests version, 8.0, and one of our fileservers, but other than that I would recommend the program.
 
I actually like Panda Enterprise. Using it on everything from my NT 4 servers, to 35 + Xp pro machines, some 9x, nt 4 and 2k pro machines as well. Install admin module on your desktop, push the server install to the servers from there, then the clients install when the users authenticate and updates are done everysingle day and pushed from the Domain controllers to the clients and can lock down the settings as well. Enterprise even has module for exchange server included.
